Since becoming President in May of 2010, I have been so overwhelmed by the feeling of sisterhood in the Junior Auxiliary of Saline County.  I am very excited about this year!  There is one purpose and one cause of Junior Auxiliary and it is to help the children of Saline County.  The way we help the children is to help break the cycle of dependency.  We have several projects that meet different needs.  We have an ongoing JA On-Call where teachers and counselors can call us any time for an unmet need.  Foster children can have their very own backpack with comfort items.  JA adopts a family whose needs overextend their funds so they can have help until they are on their feet financially.  These are just a few examples of our projects that help the future of Saline County.  All identifications remain confidential.  Take a look at our service projects and see if you know someone who could benefit from our help.

We have been told that people are unaware of our cause.  Our Executive Board is working hard to find ways to get into each school district so that more children will be reached.  Our primary way of finding children in need is going through the schools.  We are trying to not only reach the children of Benton, but those of Bryant and every elementary school in Saline County.  We cannot do this on our own.  We need everyone from superintendents, to the counselors, to the teachers to get on board with us.  The more who know about us, the more children we can impact!

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read about the Junior Auxiliary of Benton!  We are making a difference in the lives of the children of Saline County!

The Junior Auxiliary of Saline County is a volunteer service organization comprised of approximately 40 women who willingly give their time and efforts to better the lives of the children of Saline County.  We do not help just one city or just one school, we help the whole county.  We daily, weekly, monthly, come up with new ways to reach the children of Saline County.  More and more creative ways are found to help whether it is buying school supplies or medicine, toys or shoes.

The Junior Auxiliary of Saline County’s passion is to help families break the cycle of dependency.

We have had some successful months lately!  No one wants to hear of anyone in need and no one wants to base their successes off of anyone else’s tragedies, but the Junior Auxiliary of Saline County is in existence solely based on the needs of the children of Saline County.  The women of this organization yearn to help!  Our ongoing, year-round project, JA On-Call, spent all of its budget helping children.  It provided many services for numerous children whose families could not afford the things JA provided them.

The Junior Auxiliary of Saline County comes through for the children and families of Saline County.
